A lectionary based curriculum that uses Biblical stories and themes in age appropriate ways paying attention to the many various learning styles of
children/youth. This curriculum follows our preaching lectionary allowing students to make stronger connections between worship and Sunday school.

Beginning in early January, 8th grade students will explore our biblical history, Presbyterian background and theology, and begin to look at our faith as we continue our faith journey through membership into the church.

9th-12th graders continue their topical study using thought provoking questions, Bible support, and everyday experiences.

Collegegiate Coffee Hour
|
|
|
|
Created just for college students, this time is spent discovering how our biblical principles connect with college experiences.
Meets in the Presbyterian Student Association Center at 9:30

Adult Course Offerings
|
|
|
|
Bible Sojourners: This new class will attempt to “survey” the Bible in a year using Books of the Bible by John Hayes and Keith Schoville. In addition to class facilitators and members, pastors and guest lecturers will join, periodically.
Meets on 2nd floor education building in the Library
Contemporary Issues: This class uses contemporary theological authors to explore faith and life. Class
participants select their topic at the beginning of each fall.
Meets in Lower Club room (accessible from the College Ave office door)
Cooper Bible Class:
Using the denomination curriculum The Present Word, class participants explore Jesus’ life and ministry through Scripture and discussion
Meets in the Cooper Classroom. (directly across from the Fort
Hill Office Greeters or “FHOG” office – accessible from the College Ave office door).
The Elective Series:
New this fall, a series of topics that change almost monthly. Join us
for one or for all of a variety of topics and a variety of teachers.
September 18th – October 16th Presbyterian 101 with Jim Richardson October 23 – November 13th Creating a Spiritual Home with Mary Gause
November 27th – December 18th Advent Bible Study with Mary Gause
Meets in Bethlehem Hall, room 1.
Forum Class: Class members take turns
leading discussion on a Presbyterian classic: The Mighty Acts of God.
Meets in the Dungeon Classroom. (accessible from the College Ave office door)
Net Menders:
Through reflection and discussion, class members explore the book Practicing Our Faith: A Way of Life for a Searching People by Dorothy Bass.
Meets in room 205 of the education building.
Video Discussion:
Using a video lecture series by Professor Bart D. Ehrman (UNC-CH), this class will explore The Writings of the Apostolic Fathers.
Class members view the day’s lecture then discuss the findings and their impact on Christian faith and life.
Meets in the Upper Club Room (upstairs between the staff offices).
Young Adults:
Young Adults (those 20-30 somethingish) will explore the Foundations of our Faith using a series from the PCUSA.
Meets in Bethlehem Hall Room 2.
